do i have to take a national test to become a medical billing and coding person?

    i dnt think national but i believe a state test to get certified in that feild.

    You do not have to take a national test or a state test after you graduate to work in the billing and coding field. I took a 6 month certification course and landed a job. Although it is not coding, I know how to code and helped out the office manager when the coder was on vacation. One thing for sure is that employers prefer you to be a certified coder, you earn more money and more recognition…hope this helps.
