I am thinking about doing online classes for a medical billing certificate but I want to make sure I will be able to find medical billing jobs (preferably at home online) with the certificate alone. Anyone know anything about this?

medical billing
Groshan Fabiola asked:

One of the problems with an outdated medical billing system is the complicated nature of the outdated program. Medical billing is always necessary, so the system can never be eliminated, but it can be streamlined. The latest medical billing software makes the system much easier and more convenient, so people can worry more about getting their work done. Medical billing data should be simply sorted and easy to find, and the latest software does all that at a low cost.

With an updated medical billing system, it is quite possible to consolidate offices and have some employees work from home. It will no longer be necessary for people to log in and out of many different databases when they have a modern medical billing system, but they can simply log into one main billing system. Each medical billing account will be contained in the main database.

As long as employees have a computer and a broadband connection, they can work from home. Once logged into the medical billing software, they can work from their home, the office or on the road with a wireless connection. If they’re not in the office, they can manage their medical billing functions at all times and places. This was not possible with previous medical billing software

The latest medical billing software is also incredibly simple to use. Both employees and clients will reap the benefits of a modern medical billing program. People will be able to close out all their medical billing business every day in a timely manner without the hassle of going through multiple databases. The medical billing data always stays separate and doesn’t require duplication or extras hassle. The job gets done right and on time for the convenience of employees and customers.

Security is also not an issue with the latest medical billing software. Data is safe and backed up at all times, and good medical billing software is protected through HIPPA-compliant servers that only authorized staff members can access. If anyone ever has a problem, a team is ready and willing to help at all times. Since there are always problem that arise when an office installs a new software program for everyone to use, having medical billing software support is key.

Modern medical billing software also shouldn’t take much money. Businesses can pay monthly instead of having to worry large, up-front software fees. Employees and clients can see and experience the benefits right away as they use the medical billing software to maximize their business.

Any medical office that is looking to upgrade, or that just wants to save time and money, should give some of the new medical billing software a try. With less headaches and stress, everyone will be able to concentrate on the really important matters of their business. A modern medical billing system is definitely the key to smarter billing and efficient client service.

In medical billing for Medicaid and Medicare, can someone explain what the difference?

Posted in Other - Business & Finance  by admin | June 4th, 2009
medical billing
?????? asked:

In medical billing for Medicaid and Medicare, can someone explain what the difference is when a patient is admitted as inpatient versus observation?

I know the status impacts how much a patient has to pay out of pocket. What I am interested in understanding is how much will a Medicare and Medicaid person be responsible for in both scenario’s?
Ie: Inpatient is ?x % where as an observation patient is only
?xy %.

Is there a source I can access that will answer benefits questions without having to be a member?
